The aim of the Laboratory of Stochastic Stereology and Chemical Anatomy (LSSCA) is to qualify researchers and publish scientific papers par excellence in three-dimensional and four-dimensional quantitative microscopy. To achieve its objective the LSSCA applies and develops stereological methods involving stochastic delineation in such areas as biological sciences, electron microsopy, confocal and light microscopy, cell culture, molecular biology, histochemistry, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry and imaging diagnosis. The LSSCA  research approach is to find solutions for specific problems, i.e. “problem-driven or problem-focused science”.
